Daily Writing Prompt #2808 What do you love now, that you hated when you were younger? *Healthy Lifestyle. Order. Balance. Doing what I need to do.
Get that nasty tasting, tummy twisting, sorry excuse for food out of here… Whether it is Onions, Garlic, Broccoli, Green Beans, Cabbage! OHHH NO CABBAGE!!! > Buh-bye! and give me a pop, a salisbury steak and some mac and cheese, please.
Can you tell healthy food was not top priority? Well… that led right to the very bottom of things quite easily and quite quickly.
Poor sleep habits. Smoking. overeating, under eating, not taking care of my space. Drugs. Alcohol. Unhealthy relationships. I will not bore you with the disgusting details.
WHAT IF the ‘non health’ mindset was bigger than just being about ‘broccoli’ or ‘no broccoli?’ Maybe it was more about serving a purpose higher than immediate gratification.
There came a time when I needed a change. I needed TO change things. I prayed for God to help me make better choices. That was so many years ago, and I still pray the same prayer. Little by little, bit by bit, I began eating onions, broccoli and even green beans and cabbage. I began exercising, going to church. Little by little having better relationships. With food, with God, with nature, with everything. Still working on it. ❤
God is Great. Jesus Saves
You are a blessing, I hope that this blesses you.
